Robot Creations: Build a Beauty or a Beast

Are you a fan of Legos and robotics? If so, the Beginner & intermediate robotics class is for you! This class offers introduction to basic, logic block programming using Lego Mindstorm EV3 robots. Students will work in teams to build and program autonomous robots to accomplish tasks on a Lego Mission game board. Come and join the fun!

In Building a robot hero:

  • Students will learn engineering problem solving skills using Lego robotic bricks and cortex’s while building fully autonomous robots.
  • Students will learn/hone their algorithmic and computational thinking skills through programming Lego robots using drag and drop software.
  • Students will program autonomous robots they build to solve various problems on a game board with several devices that will be manipulated by the robots

Level: Grade 3 – 5, preferably with some computer experience or good math/science skills.

Cost: $125 for the week-long summer camp – scholarships are available (lunch included)
