Robots of the Round Table

Tuesdays  3:45 – 5:15
January 28 – March 17
Purple Lab, Stevensville Middle School

Teacher:     Scott Seibert

Are you a fan of Legos and robotics?  Become a robot engineer as you design, build and test a rover using LEGO Mindstorm’s EV3 software and technology. Use drag and drop programming to create a robot that can complete challenges such as climbing a ramp, traversing a maze, and even battling other robots! Come and join the fun!

In building a Robot of the Round Table:

  • Students will learn engineering problem solving skills using Lego robotic bricks and cortex’s while building fully autonomous robots.
  • Students will learn/hone their algorithmic and computational thinking skills through programming Lego robots using drag and drop software.
  • Students will program autonomous robots they build to solve various problems on a game board with several devices that will be manipulated by the robots

Level: Grade 4 and above, preferably with some computer experience or good math/science skills. Grade 5 and above with previous robotics experience.

Cost: $80 for 8 classes – scholarships are available (snacks included)
